Urban II wish to notify potential beneficiaries of the impending closure of its small grant fund – Community Chest.
This is therefore a last chance to access grants of up to £5000. The grants are available to community organisations within the inner North Belfast Urban II area to develop capacity in urban regeneration.
By offering groups the opportunity to access grant support for a fairly small yet very important project a chance is given for those groups to demonstrate their project and financial management skills with lower risk involved and an opportunity to build capacity.
Examples of the types of projects that might receive funding include:
Ø Research
Ø Consultations
Ø Audits
Ø Newsletters
Ø Training relating to the capacity of the group
Ø Networking
Ø Good Practice findings
Ø Pilot initiatives with a view to mainstream funding
Ø Innovative actions
