Short Term Contract Opportunity Within North Belfast Partnership's Urban II Team
Date: 22/09/2005
ATTENTION

SHORT TERM CONTRACT OPPORTUNITY WITHIN NORTH BELFAST PARTNERSHIP’S URBAN II TEAM

Urban II staff, in association with community organisations in receipt of grant assistance, are pulling out all the stops in an attempt the meet the financial spend targets for the Programme in inner North Belfast in 2005.

As a direct result we are offering a time limited contract within the Urban II office for suitably experienced financial administrative staff to work directly on the preparation and / or processing of grant claims.

Do you currently employ anyone who might meet this brief who would be interested in a 6 – 12 week secondment to the Urban II office?

Essential The post cannot be double funded so you would either agree a suspension of any current grant income in relation to the salary
or offer the opportunity to staff who are not currently resourced,
for example, pending Peace funding application assessment.

Experience The interested person must be able to demonstrate, either via
experience or qualification, an understanding of administrative
and financial systems to support the preparation and / or processing for EU grants. The work would not be inherently developmental in nature and therefore ‘community background’ should not be an issue.

Location Any successful candidate would be based in the Urban II office
at the North Belfast Partnership, 2 Duncairn Gardens, Belfast
and will need to agree to be bound to the confidentiality
requirements of the post.

Duration 6 – 12 weeks (negotiable)

Salary £14,106 - £17,469 per annum (pro rata) - NJC point 13 – 21 dependent on current salary and experience

Due to the urgent need for resources and the brief contract period, expressions of interest must be made by email to Catherine.taggart@nthbp.org by noon on Thursday 29th September 2005.

Preference will be given to suitable candidates who are immediately available.
