Minister for Enterprise, Mr Nigel Dodds addressed the Exploring Enterprise event held in Belfast Castle on 31 March. The event was organised by the North City Business Centre (NCBC) in conjunction with the North Belfast Partnership (NBP).

North Belfast Young People get their Day in Tennis Court Date: 04/04/2008
 
Four young people from two North Belfast schools enjoyed a once-in-a-lifetime chance to rub shoulders with some of the biggest names in tennis at the end of February. The unique opportunity came about when Belfast's Odyssey Arena asked the North Belfast Partnership (NBP) to arrange the unique training session. To mark this practical cooperation between the Odyssey and the NBP, the Odyssey invited an NBP representative to witness the high spot of the Ledgends Tournament: the match between tennis giants: Bjorn Borg and John Mc Enroe.

Second Time Around, a social enterprise was opened on 16 January on Belfast's Shore Road. A second-hand shop, it is spearheaded by the Lower North Belfast Community Council, with support from the North Belfast Partnership (NBP), through the European Union's (EU) Urban II programme.

Tuesday 19th September saw the official opening of a new picnic area and the unveiling of a number of sculptures within Alexandra Park. The £44,000 scheme was developed as part of North Belfast Partnership’s Community Environment Support Programme for inner North Belfast and is the result of extensive consultation between the Mountcollyer community, Belfast City Council and Groundwork NI.

£2m Overhaul for Flats at Duncairn Gardens Date: 03/04/2006
 
The Housing Executive has announced details of an improvement scheme costing over £2m scheme for 65 flats at Duncairn Gardens in North Belfast. The flats, which were built in the early 1960s, are located at the junction of the Antrim Road and Duncairn Gardens in North Belfast. They are also something of a tourist attraction as local artist John Luke lived here until his death in 1975.

Urban II wish to notify potential beneficiaries of the impending closure of its small grant fund – Community Chest. This is therefore a last chance to access grants of up to £5000. The grants are available to community organisations within the inner North Belfast Urban II area to develop capacity in urban regeneration.
