Looking for an opportunity to gain skills that could lead to getting into work?
Interested in the possibility of working for Belfast Health and Social Care Trust, Belfast City Council or the Northern Ireland Housing Executive?
The Public Employment Partnership (PEP) is a pre-employment programme that up-skills anyone unemployed with 4 weeks pre-employment training followed by 9 weeks job shadowing within the Belfast Health and Social Care Trust, Northern Ireland Housing Executive and Belfast City Council. The PEP programme will be running every 2-3 months throughout 2010 until March 2011.
Who can register with PEP?
PEP is open to anyone unemployed, aged 18 + and living in the Belfast area.
What does the course involve?
The course will enable you to build your confidence, improve your communication skills and prepare you for for future employment within the public sector.
Where will I be placed for my job shadowing?
You can choose one of the Employers and roles listed below:

Do I get expenses?
Ü Childcare Childcare expenses paid
Ü Travel Travel expenses paid
Ü Lunches Lunch provided during the training
Ü Training Premium / Top Up £15.38 a week paid for 13 weeks
Payments will not effect benefits
How long does the course last?
- A 4 week personal development programme
- 9 weeks job shadowing to be spent with one of our public sector employers (Belfast Health and Social Care Trust, Belfast City Council, Northern Ireland Housing Executive)
