Neighbourhood Renewal Workshop

North Belfast Partnership is organising a workshop on Neighbourhood Renewal on Tuesday 6th June 2006.
The workshop will be from 2.00 – 5.00 pm and will be held at NICVA.
Dr Brendan Murtagh of the Institute of Spatial & Environmental Planning, Queen’s University, will facilitate the workshop. Brendan has particular expertise in urban regeneration, neighbourhood renewal, and community development and is knowledgeable about the social and political demography of North Belfast.
The workshop will explore a number of key issues crucial to the successful workings of Neighbourhood Partnerships. These issues include: the strategic approach to integrated regeneration; planning frameworks; community consultation; governance and organisational working, skills and competences required from staff; and operational systems and procedures.
The workshop is aimed at those involved in Neighbourhood Partnerships in the north of the city, and also those agencies involved in supporting the implementation of this important Government strategy of urban and community regeneration.
Participation on the workshop is by invitation only.
