Belfast Ulster-Scots Festival Events – November 2005
|
Date: 12/11/2005
|
During five fun-filled days from November 9-13, Belfast will come alive to the sights and sounds of all things Ulster-Scot’s, as a key part of Belfast City Council’s “Celebrate Belfast 2006” campaign.
Highlights will include the “Pipin Roon Tha Toon” Parade and concert from cross-community Ballycoan Pipe Band, a mini Tattoo and “Ranes & Lilts” youth concert and an Ulster-Scots language interdenominational church service in Fitzroy Presbyterian Church.
The exciting line-up aims to broaden full community awareness of Ulster-Scots culture and heritage with all events being free, fully inclusive and open to all.
The Festival is sponsored by Belfast City Council, The Ulster-Scots Heritage Council, the Ulster-Scots Agency, Laganside Corporation, the National Lottery/Millenium Commission and the News Letter.
Events will take place at venues throughout the city. For further information and a full festival programme contact the Ulster-Scots Heritage Council tel: 028 9074 6939 email: info@ulster-scots.com.
