Q. What is Belfast Area Partnerships (BAPs)?
|

Reply: Belfast Area Partnerships (BAPs) is an informal forum of the five area Partnerships throughout Belfast(North, South, East, West and Greater Shankill).
The Chief Executive, Chairs and some staff of the five area Partnerships, meet at least monthly to share information and identify common action programmes across the whole city or between two or more of the area Partnerships working together.
The BAPs Co-ordinator is Claire Pollock funded by EU Building Sustainable Prosperity administered by the DSD Voluntary and Community Unit.
Current priority focus for the BAPs is on co-ordination of DSD's Neighbourhood Renewal Strategy activities and the Arterial Routes Strategy in association with Belfast City Council, BRO and the NIHE.

Q. What does EAP and PEP do?
|

Reply: The Local Employment Access Partnership (LEAP) and Publice Employment partnership (PEP) aims to work strategically with the private, public and community sector developing pathways to jobs and employability networks for unemployed and economically active people in North Belfast.

Urban II
|

Q. Our Urban II funded project is completed and we are hoping to organise an official opening to launch the project. Are there any set requirements from Urban II regarding publicity?

Reply: Yes, there are some agreed guidelines to bear in mind when considering publicity of Urban II funded projects. In accordance with Item 1.1 Publicity, section 11.2 of all Contracts for Funding “acknowledgement of NBP assistance under the Programme must be included in all brochures, leaflets, magazines, job/recruitment advertisements or any other publicity material produced by the recipient in connection with the project. The EC and Urban II logos should also be used on all such material. Approval should be sought prior to the issuing of any publicity materials or press releases relating to the project.” For further information on publicity or assistance in organising your launch please contact North Belfast Partnership
